Supply Chain Manager(SM):
Coin Acceptors,
Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of electronic
transaction devices for the vending industry, has an immediate
need for a Supply Chain Manager at its world headquarters
located in the St. Louis metro area.
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing procurement strategy, managing and
directing of the strategic sourcing. Manages the procurement of goods and services, vendor
selection and retention, and inter-company communications. Assures contract, supplier
relations, and transaction plans are in compliance with corporate objectives and strategies.
Supervises and coordinates activities of Commodity Specialists, Key Supplier Account
Representative, Procurement Specialists and Procurement Clerks.
Scope of Responsibility
- Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in
the procurement of goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts
and supplies.
- Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems policies
and procedures for negotiations, contract contents and terms.
- Reviews procurement order claims and contracts for
conformance to company policy and objectives.
- Analyzes market conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules
to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis
eports.
- Confers and meets with suppliers regarding specifications,
costs, quality issues and similar problems relating to parts, equipment and services.
- Handles personnel related issues such as organizational
development, performance reviews, staffing and training.
- Understands and follows changes with regard to production
forecast.
- Attends various executive, departmental and staff meetings
to communicate activities, review goals and objectives, and changes resulting from
status and conditions
Education and Experience
- Four year degree in Business Administration or equivalent from
a college or university.
- Five to seven years progressive growth in a purchasing
environment..
- Ability to plan, forecast and schedule with economic perception.
- Knowledge of office equipment, including computer and
general office software (MS Office).
- Ability to implement transactional change if there is a
supplier change.
- Human relations skills to deal effectively with co-workers,
subordinates and internal/external customers.
- Experience with ERP – MAPICS
