TWO MILLIONTH BILL ACCEPTOR ROLLS OFF COINCO ASSEMBLY LINE
ST. LOUIS-ST. LOUIS-Employees and
management recently celebrated a milestone in Coinco history with the production of its two
millionth bill acceptor since the firm began manufacturing these product lines in October 1992.
The original BA Series bill acceptors were the first all-plastic
units. "In the first full year of production we sold approximately 72,000 units," said Joe
Moschner, vice president of manufacturing. "The quick acceptance of the Coinco bill acceptors
was due to a combination of factors: ability to deliver the product, and trust in Coinco's
reputation for the quality and durability of its coin changers. When we offered a matched
set of a bill acceptor with our proven coin changers we had an enviable success story. In
fact, we doubled our production the next year!"
Bill acceptor manufacturing at Coinco is a synergistic effort
involving all Coinco factories. Final assembly is done at H.R. Electronics in High Ridge,
Mo. Mountain View Fabricating, Inc., Mountain View, Mo., supplies plastic components and
wiring harnesses, and Transaction Technology, Union, Mo., makes circuit boards for the units.
"Products such as the BA-30 Series bill acceptors became
standards in our industry for quality and reliability," said Parker Condie Jr., vice
president of strategic marketing, Coinco. "The introduction of the new MAG50 Series
further enhances our leadership role in this category. This is a very special event
in Coinco's history and it reflects the teamwork and effort put forth by all Coinco employees."
Coinco is the leading manufacturer of coin acceptors, coin
changers, bill acceptors, control systems, and other components for the vending industry.
